It is Impossible to Avoid Fleas at the Flea Market

Monday, August 16, 2010
Josh and I decided to visit the Pendergrass flea market this past Saturday just to get out of the house. Neither of us knew exactly what to expect. We saw a variety of impressive items for sell. Who knew that there was a whole other kind of lingerie mainly worn by Latina women?!? And who knew that Jesus could look so good as a hologram?!
And do you fear diabetes? Well don't worry because you can still wear socks...
We learned a lot on our trip, but there is one thing that really caught our attention...
The Schnoodles! This schnoodle particularly. It was so cute--like a teddy bear. Josh has never been so close to letting me get my own puppy! I almost had to talk him out of getting it. But I agree: Caesar is enough for now.

One last thing that cannot go without being mentioned- the old lady selling sugar gliders. First, we had no idea what these things were, so we stopped by her booth. She had one on her shoulder and another in her hand, and as we got closer, she pulled down her built-in-bra tank top to reveal a sugar glider wedged and happy between her breasts.
I bet she would be a cool grandma.

So...what the heck IS a sugar glider?? And I agree about the Latina lingerie. I noticed that at the J&J flea market. Very enlightening, flea markets!

Apparently, it is some kind of marsupial. It looks like a flying squirrel with a raccoon face. Cute, but in the two minutes that Josh held one, it tried to take a chunk of his thumb.

Awww, that Schnoodle puppy looks really cute! And yeah, flea markets are best if you want the best deals at minimal price. :)
